OUR EXPERIENCE

Mark Ostryn is a successful entrepreneur and a strategic financial specialist with over twenty years start up, corporate and venture capital experience.

Since 2002, Mark has provided a wide variety of financial services to small & medium size companies.  These have included the development of financial strategies for cash flow management, profitability and eventual business sale. In addition, Mark has developed Knowledge 2020's financial forecasting tools and templaters through our subsidiary Forecast Vision International.

Prior to establishing Knowledge 2020, Mark was VP Asia Pacific for Bright Station; a UK based international early stage venture capital company.  Mark laid the development foundations for Venda, now one of Europe’s most successful E-shopping companies.

Throughout most of the 1990’s as VP Asia Pacific for The Dialog Corporation, Mark spearheaded the growth of the online business information market across the Asia Pacific region, turning a virtual greenfields opportunity into a $25m business with offices across NE & SE Asia.

In his early career, Mark spent eight years in the telecommunications and data communications market in the UK and Australia. Initially he was appointed as a fast track graduate for the newly deregulated British Telecom where he successfully, modernised BT’s telephone handset range. After immigrating to Australia in 1987 he played a leading role in the growth of one of Australia’s 1990’s success stories, NetComm.

Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University,  and an Honours graduate in Business Studies at Sheffield University (UK) with an additional Postgraduate Diploma in International Marketing.  He is also qualified as an Authorised Financial Planner under ASIC Compliance PS146, and holds various training accreditations.

Mark enjoys helping entrepreneurs’ fast track their businesses. He is a lecturer, workshop, coordinator, mentor and trial judge at the NSW Enterprise Workshop and assisted more than 100 entrepreneurs in New South Wales.
